Through the Y-Corps program, teens go to interesting places, build positive friendships and participate in community service projects. Students spend the year executing their own service projects within their local community as well as raising money for the scholarship fund.

The YMCA Youth Conference on National Affairs (CONA) was started in 1968 as a follow-up to the outstanding state Youth in Government programs conducted by the YMCA throughout the United States. The YMCA National Judicial Competition (NJC) began in 2013 and allows judicial delegates to experience a national competition.

YMCA Youth Advocacy Programs

The YMCA offers both an opportunity to participate in the YMCA USA Youth Advocates program (application and selection via YMCA USA) and our own Youth Advocates Academy (YAA). These advocacy programs were created to help students develop real-world advocacy skills and apply them to remove real world problems. Teens engaged in YAA receive eight months of instruction for state and level advocacy experiences.
