Our Programs

The YMCA Youth Conference on National Affairs (CONA) was started in 1968 as a follow-up to the outstanding state Youth in Government programs conducted by the YMCA throughout the United States. The success of the CONA is directly attributed to the leadership of many YMCA professionals and laymen but primarily to the dedication of the youth involved. Last year, young people from thirty-three states and the District of Columbia participated in the Conference. CONA is a program of the YMCA of Montgomery, AL.

The National Judicial Competition (NJC) brings together Youth & Government participants from around the country to face off in mock trial and appellate competitions.

The delegations from Pennsylvania for these conferences are chosen by a committee of dedicated State YMCA volunteers during the program year.  Applications are available to be sure that you will be considered.
